Behold the apple!  Daniel is my sous chef whether I want him to be or not! I admit that I sometimes try to sneak in the kitchen and quickly whip something together without making any noise, because if he hears the measuring cups clang, sees me get out a large bowl or the flour, that's it. He's really a great helper, but, as he says "Mom, I'm 4 and can do it myself!"  

It really is fun to cook with him most of the time - he's extremely enthusiastic and begs to know what I'm making and says "Oh! I can help!  I'm a good helper!"  Here we're making Sour Cream Apple Bars from the family cookbook - yum!
