Daniel's Baptism

Daniel was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints this past Saturday.  He was excited for his big day.  Thankfully his extreme fear of being dunked under the water and never brought back up was gone by the time his birthday came around.  His whole year of being 7 he was a bit panicked.  We said he didn't have to do it if he was still so scared (hoping he'd change his mind!), but he was all smiles the day of his baptism so it all worked out.

Since our family is so extremely non-musical, I was having a bit of a panic over the schedule.  No, I can't play the piano well enough to please the ears of anyone, the kids all refused to sing and we had no imported talent from out of town.  Thankfully my friend agreed to play some interlude music for us, so the attendees were spared our musical attempts.
We had never been part of a Stake baptism before, but they do most of them that way here, to save having to fill the font over and over.  Joe baptized and confirmed Daniel, Aaron gave a lovely talk on the Gift of the Holy Ghost and Joshua gave a really sweet closing prayer.  Sam contributed by banging cars on the metal chairs and Maggie drew pictures and talked with our neighbor who came to support Dan.
Congratulations Dan!

(This is a poster our Primary president made for Dan.  He loved it, to say the least).
